Party games online

A party game for 4–8 friends with phones. Free, in the browser, ready in under a minute.

What makes a good phone party game

• Everyone plays at once. Nobody waits around for their turn.
• No setup. If it needs an app store download, half the group gives up.
• Easy to explain. Rules that fit in one sentence, so new people can join mid-game.
• Makes people talk. The best party games are an excuse to argue and laugh.

Reelies in one sentence

Everyone watches a short video on their phone, except one player, the impostor, who sees a different one; you talk it out and vote on who's faking it. It's a social deduction game, like the classic impostor and undercover games, but the secret is a clip instead of a word. Full rules here.

Good for

Pre-drinks

Rounds take a few minutes, so you can play two or three before you head out and stop whenever the taxi turns up.

House parties

Up to 8 players per lobby. Bigger crowd? Start a second lobby in the other room.

Sleepovers and nights in

Pick 10 rounds and a longer discussion time and it turns into a proper game night.

Student halls and society socials

It's free, it works on any phone, and nobody has to make an account, so it's an easy icebreaker with people you just met.

Family gatherings

The clips are short and easy to follow: animals, cooking, sports, fails. Anyone who can watch a video can play.

How to start a game

1. One person opens reelies.fun and taps Create lobby.
2. Everyone else scans the QR code or enters the room code.
3. The host picks rounds and talk time and hits Start game.

Party games for different group sizes

Reelies takes 4 to 8 players. With 4 or 5 it's tense and every vote matters. With 7 or 8 it gets loud, and the impostor has more people to hide behind.
